POLICE are concerned about the safety of a four-year-old Blackburn boy, believed to be with his parents.

Detectives said they were growing increasingly worried about Suren Stepans.

The youngster was last seen at a house in Addison Street, Wensley Fold, on Friday.

He is believed to be with his parents, Maruta Stephan, 25, and Artus Brezouski, 29.

But Lancashire Police said they were concerned for his welfare while he was in their care.

The family are believed to still be in the East Lancashire area, possibly with links to the Latvian community.

Suren is said to be slim with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Det Insp Paul Barlow, of Blackburn Police, said: “While we believe Suren is with his parents, we are concerned for his welfare and I would appeal for anyone who sees them or who knows where they might be, to get in touch with the police.”

Possible sightings or anyone with information regarding Suren should contact the police non-emergency number on 101 quoting log number 1580 of July 4.
