A NEW network for artists and creative people in Blackburn with Darwen will start regular meetings later this month.
‘Art SPACE’ is a monthly session for them to come together and share ideas, exhibit, perform and get feedback on their work in a friendly environment.
Each month the group, which meets at the Blackburn Is Open pop up arts centre, will meet to enjoy live music, performances and exhibitions and take part in workshops.
There will also be an opportunity for members to lead workshops and pass on their skills to inspire others.
The group has been set up by Blackburn resident Kerris Casey-St Pierre, an artist and community creative facilitator.
She said: “Blackburn has the potential to be an amazing, creative and vibrant place, but people can sometimes be quite isolated due to its size. Art SPACE is a chance to create a community to support those people who want to make a creative difference to the area.”
It will meet at the Blackburn Is Open shop, 65 King William Street, on July 19th at 6.30pm.
Admission is £3 including buffet.
