Former East Lancs MP asks for more information on sex ring

First published in News

A LABOUR MP who used to serve in East Lancashire has called for more information to be released on a historic dossier featuring claims of a paedophile ring in Westminster.

Simon Danczuk, the current MP for Rochdale, said the dossier was handed to then Home Secretary Leon Brittan in the 1980s.

Mr Danczuk, who was raised in Hapton and served as a Blackburn with Darwen councillor eight years ago, previously investigated historic sex claims against his predecessor Cyril Smith.

Yesterday Lord Brittan said he had asked officials to ‘look carefully’ at the dossier but had heard nothing on it after that.

Mr Danczuk said: “People will be very disappointed in this statement as it demonstrates a shockingly casual attitude. The job of the Home Secretary is to protect the country from criminals and paedophilia is one of the worst crimes imaginable.

“To hear a former Home Secretary dismiss evidence from Geoffrey Dickens, a member of his own party who has a strong track record in campaigning on paedophilia, in such a procedural manner is extremely worrying.

“He should reveal what he knew at the time about paedophile networks and what action he took.”

I do not believe for one moment anything will surface from an enquiry. Ranks will be closed, the drawbridge pulled up and practically every member will behave like the three brass monkeys.

It will be down to us the voters to change the bad habits of consecutive Governments who think they can consistently sh1t on the voters. The changes have already started with Ukip into Europe, let's all promise to take it further and rid the political parties of these self gratifying, greedy and downright bent MP's.

Bring on the revolution.

This Country needs change and fast. They all pi$$ In the same pot when It comes to politics and always point fingers at each other when It suits.
Same old $hit for years, but be aware politicians, people are sick to death of the same old garbage, and the tide Is changing where you lot are concerned. People are becoming more Insightful and no longer just go along with your rubbish, the dog Is off It's lead, do something before It bites you on the a$$.
Watch Russell Brand V's Jeremy Paxman on YouTube! Yes unless things change quickly, there could well be a revolution or something ugly In this Country. You can't make the Law and think you're above It.
For now I say at least give UKIP a go and see how It goes.

If it was not in the normal day to day protocols to destroy such Whitehall dossiers upon scrutiny then we the general public can only conclude that the dossier was in fact destroyed cause it contained dawning incriminating evidence against such high profile figures.

Well done to Simon Danczuk for leading the charge on this issue. The kind of thing all backbench MPs should be doing - taking up issues which are of concern to people and tugging and tugging at them no matter how powerful the opposition. It shows that not all politicians are the same. We need more campaigning MPs who ask awkward questions and won't be shut up.

Danczuk now has the support of a number of other MPs. If your MO is not among them, maybe you should ask yourself why?
