EAST Lancashire people have been reminded to pay attention to their mental and emotional health as part of the county council’s ‘Bring Yourself Sunshine’ campaign.

The advice drive, featuring comedy legends Morecambe and Wise, runs until the end of June.

Research shows people with better wellbeing have better relationships around them.

Poor levels of mental health are linked to heart disease, strokes and liver disease.

County health boss Azhar Ali said: “Around one in four people live with mental health problems. Although this is common, it’s often overlooked. However, there are simple steps we can take.”
