A 50-YEAR-old man has been banned from approaching his mother’s house for 20 years – when she will be 98-years-old.

Blackburn magistrates jailed David Woodward for 20 weeks for breaching a non-molestation order his mum obtained against him.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the order was due to expire next month and asked the magistrates to impose a restraining order to afford June Howard protection from her son.

They imposed an order banning him from going within 100 metres of her Darwen home for the next 20 years.

Woodward, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two charges of breaching a non-molestation order.

Miss Allan said Woodward had already breached the order seven times and had been jailed on the latest occasion.

She said: “He comes to her house begging for money to finance his drug addiction.
