her parents must be at their wits end ,,hope she is found safe and well, if she reads this just ring home it would make a nice ending as opposed to a possible heartache.

***Increasing concerns for missing teenager***

Police have launched a further appeal for help in trying to locate a missing 15 year old girl who has not been seen since Wednesday 30th April in Nelson.

Sherana Hussain who resides in the Blackburn area, left school at 3pm on Tuesday 29th April and walked in her school uniform to a local library on Preston New Road, Blackburn where she got changed. She was last seen wearing light coloured check patterned leggings, a black chiffon sleeveless top with gold buttons, black coloured trainers and a black leather jacket.

Sherana is described as Asian, 5ft tall with very long dark black hair. She was in the company of another Asian teenage girl, 5'3" tall, slim, long black hair who was wearing black jeans, black t-shirt, black gillet style jacket with a fur trimmed hood and black flat ankle boots.

It is believed that the two girls made their way into Blackburn town centre, before going to Whalley Range where they called a black taxi at 8pm the same day which took them to Railway Street in Nelson.

The two girls have then frequented different cafes and takeaways and visited Lomeshaye and Walverden park. At approximately teatime the following day in Nelson town centre the girls have become seperated after Sherana's friend has returned home. Sherana has not been seen since.

DCI Joanne McHugh said "Sherana was last sighted in the Nelson area, however it is possible that she may have made her own way back to the Blackburn area. Whilst there is no evidence to suggest she has come to any harm, she has now been missing for four nights so naturally our concerns are growing for her welfare. "

“I’d like to appeal directly to Sherana to get in touch with us as soon as possible as her family are also getting increasingly worried. I’d also urge anyone to come forward if they may know of her whereabouts.”

Anyone with any information about her current whereabouts or with any information that could assist the police is urged to call 101
