A WICKER man sculpture in a field just off the M65 has been dressed in Burnley colours to celebrate the Clarets’ promotion.
The landmark, which is on land owned by Crow Wood Leisure Centre, next to Junction 11, has been decorated by an unknown Clarets fan.
Andrew Brown, who owns Crow Wood, said: “It’s our statue, but we haven’t put the Burnley gear on it.
“We don’t mind a bit of fun though. Promotion is fantastic for Burnley, and it’s great that people are celebrating it. We won’t leave it on forever, but we will certainly leave it there for a few days.
“The wicker man is being refurbished soon, so it will be looking even better.”
