Does an incident of this nature really require an air ambulance?

What an absolute waste of taxpayers money, who authorised the use of the air ambulance for a broken wrist? Maybe the reported/newspaper should be asking the ambulance service for their justification in this?

And this accident happened between 2.30pm and 2.50pm, then why was the child not in school?

I am very grateful my son had an air ambulance. His bone was hanging out and had to have an operation due to the seriousness. The reason he was not at school it was bank holiday Monday.

Thank goodness for the air ambulance, as the roads were horrendous that bank holiday. I truly hope the youngster in question is recovering well. People shouldn't be so quick to judge, I'm sure we would all be grateful of this wonderful service. :) x
