THIEVES stole £1,500 of laptops and £300 in cash from businesses in Haslingden.

The offenders broke in to Unit 2 of Carrs Industrial Estate in Haslingden, which houses three firms, by forcing open a double glazed window on the ground floor.

The burglars then searched the offices, collecting IT equipment, petty cash, and a debit card as they went.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “Officers are investigating the incident. CSI have carried out forensic procedures and officers are looking at CCTV for evidence.

“Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious should call police on 101.”

The incident happened between 4.30pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday.
