THIS is the face of a forgotten soldier, whose portrait was found in an old chest of drawers.
Furniture dealer Mick Eastwood is appealing for help in tracing his relatives.
The 52-year-old said: “It has no connection to me, but for somebody somewhere it will be part of their family.”
Mick bought the drawers from Emmaus in Ivy Street, Burnley.
He said: “As I was removing the lining, I found this drawing.”
Mick, of School Lane, Guide, enlisted the help of senior curator at Towneley Hall, Mike Townend, to find out more.
The soldier has been identified as a lance corporal from the Royal West Kent Regiment during the First World War.
