PENDLESIDE Hospice has a limited number of charity places available for the UK’s most popular half marathon, The Great North Run.

The places are free of charge, but the hospice asks that each participant raises a minimum sponsorship amount of £200.

Fundraising support will given to each runner and post-race refreshments will be provided for all hospice runners.

The Great North Run is on Sunday, September 7.

Starting in Newcastle, the course takes in the Tyne Bridge then goes through Gateshead passing the international athletics stadium, finishing in South Shields. Live music, on-course refreshments and thousands of cheering supporters will keep runners motivated every step of the way.

Call or e-mail Leah in the fundraising team on 01282 440136 or leah.mitchell@pendleside. org.uk for a fundraising pack, which includes a free running vest.
