PLANS to build 62 homes on the site of a Barrow garden centre will be voted on by Ribble Valley Borough Council next week.
The plans were sent in by proprietor Chris Hanson, of Hanson’s Garden Centre in Whalley Road, in August, two months after a public consultation. Proposals are for 34 three-bedroom houses, 15 with two bedrooms and 13 four-bedroom homes.
The parish council has objected over concerns of additional traffic and insufficient facilities, such as schools.
Five letters of objection have been submitted to the council which include concerns over noise disturbance and loss of businesses and employment.
The proposals will be discussed on Thursday, February 13, from 6.30pm at Ribble Valley Borough Council Chamber in Church Street, Clitheroe.
