MOTORISTS are facing tailbacks this morning after a car overturned in Rawtenstall.
Police said the incident, which happened between the Edenfield Bypass and Bury Road, happened just after 7am when a Peugeot 106 hit a lamppost.
Paramedics were on the scene and a woman had to be taken out of the car on a spinal board.
There is congestion on the A56 backed up to junction one for the M66.
A diversion is in place, which will take drivers via the A56 and the A681.
