POLICE have renewed an appeal for information about an accident involving a couple who were struck by a car while walking towards Haslingden.
The couple suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car that mounted the pavement.
A Ford Focus and a Peugeot 307 collided on Grane Road at the junction with Waterside Road at 5pm on December 10.
As a result of the collision, the Peugeot 307 mounted the pavement and collided with a man and a woman.
The 41-year-old woman from Helmshore was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with two broken legs and her 36-year-old husband was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a deep cut to his head.
The driver of the Focus was uninjured while the driver of the 307 suffered minor injuries.
Sgt Tracey Ward said: “Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision is on-going but we still need anybody that witnessed this incident to come forward and call police on 101.”
