LANCASHIRE charity Caritas Care has this week announced 34 successful adoptions for 2013 and a further 31 adopters across the region have been approved for 2014.
The news follows the launch of the charity’s ‘Find 40’ campaign earlier this year, which worked to encourage more people to open their homes to children in care.
The adoption charity has also revealed that 39 per cent of this year’s formal adoption enquiries came from Lancashire families.
Amanda said: “There’s still a number of misconceptions surrounding the adoption process, as many people still believe that you need to be a home-owner, in full time employment or married.
“This isn’t the case, we simply need people who are prepared to make a real difference to a child’s life.”
