Train services in East Lancashire are currently being affected by a points failure.
The issue at Rose Grove means there are no trains from there along the branch line to Colne.
Services running through the station are being delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Northern say engineers from Network Rail are due on site soon, with disruption currently expected until 11am.
All Preston to Colne services are unable to run between Rose Grove and Colne in both directions.
The first affected service was the 8.15am service from Preston to Colne, which terminated at Rose Grove.
A Northern spokesperson said: "For customers on station platforms, please listen for announcements or consult Customer Information Screens for up-to-date train running information.
"For live real time journey updates on board your train please visit journeycheck.com/northern or tweet our team @northernassist.
"To re-plan your journey please visit nationalrail.co.uk."
